“We are looking for something with wide appeal” Dustin fought the urge to shout out, “How about a banana?” He did not think the marketing department would appreciate this comment. For a group of people that were responsible for promoting the company’s message to large groups, they were oddly humorless He thought that they probably came into this meeting with their minds made up as to which were the best promotional items for this year’s campaign. The regional clients had received giant coffee mugs with the company logo and pun ridden slogan. This year they planned on giving smaller items to more people so they wanted something a little more cost effective to mass produce. Dustin kept his thoughts to himself until he glanced at the suppliers catalog. There it was, a banana shaped stress reliever. His suggestion was the hit of the meeting and became one of their most successful promotions.
